I'M DEBBIE

I believe in the simplicity of true health: it's about REAL FOOD. PERIOD.

I am a certified raw food chef and a passionate advocate for the Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) lifestyle. With over 9 years of personal experience as a vegan, I have embarked on a journey to help others transition to a WFPB way of living.

My mission is to provide valuable information and support to individuals on their own health and wellness journey, empowering them to harness the healing power of food. I am dedicated to making a positive difference in people's lives through education and guidance on embracing a WFPB lifestyle.

MY STORY

 

Welcome to my world, where life's challenges have shaped my perspective and fueled my passion for holistic well-being. As a mother of four incredible daughters, my life took an unexpected turn when our oldest daughter was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It was a pivotal moment that forever changed my perception of life's fragility and the urgent need to prioritize our health.

At that time, I considered myself healthy, unaware of the hidden battles brewing within my own body. Subtle signs, like debilitating headaches, began to manifest, leaving me dependent on codeine painkillers just to get through each day. I found myself visiting various pharmacies, chasing a temporary relief that only perpetuated my struggle. Little did I know, the codeine I relied on was contributing to my chronic headaches.

Although I didn't have any diagnosed chronic diseases, my overall health was deteriorating. I felt far from great, with a tired and haggard appearance. Worst of all, I was trapped in the clutches of the SOS trio—Sugar, Oil, and Salt—addicted to their unhealthy allure.

Everything changed when I attended a presentation by John Gray, the renowned author of "Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus." He shed light on the vicious cycle of sugar addiction, revealing how the more we feed our brains sugar, the more it craves. This eye-opening experience ignited a desire within me to break free from this destructive pattern.

I embarked on a transformative 60-day reboot, nourishing my body solely with fresh fruits and vegetables. The results were astounding. During this period, I made a life-altering decision—I chose to embrace a plant-based lifestyle. While I knew intuitively that fruits, vegetables, and plants held inherent health benefits, I was yet to explore the depths of this knowledge. However, on November 1, 2013, I embarked on my plant-based journey, firmly committed to discovering the abundant rewards it had to offer.

In tandem with my plant-based transition, I distanced myself from sugary treats, acknowledging the detrimental impact they had on my well-being. Today, I cannot fathom living any other way. My health has undergone a remarkable transformation, bringing newfound energy, vibrancy, and inner balance into my life. I am a living testament to the power of plants and their ability to nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits.

Through sharing my story, I aspire to inspire you on your own wellness journey. Life is a beautiful gift, and each moment holds the potential for renewal and transformation. Together, let's embrace a life of health, vitality, and plant-powered joy.
